Parenting Classes & Child Care

Parenting Classes

The purpose of Parenting after Divorce class is to help families cope with the divorce process in a constructive manner. Courts are authorized to order parents to attend parenting classes, and classes may be offered in an online format.

The educational program informs parents about the divorce/allocation of parental responsibility process and its impact on the adults and children. The program teaches co-parenting skills and strategies to parents so they may continue to parent their children in a cooperative manner.

The 18th Judicial District chooses private providers to teach parenting education programs from the statewide-approved provider list.
