Bo A. Zeerip

Judge Zeerip was sworn in as the Delta County Judge on December 4, 2021.  Judge Zeerip is responsible for County Court civil cases, evictions, restraining orders, small claims, felony cases through preliminary hearing, and all misdemeanor and traffic cases in Delta County.

Judge Zeerip received his undergraduate degree from Central Michigan University in 1992, and a master’s degree in public policy and juris doctor degree from Regent University in 1997.

 Prior to his appointment as a Judge, he served for 14 years as a prosecutor in neighboring Mesa County, most recently serving as a Chief Deputy District Attorney.  Judge Zeerip has also been involved in several local and state-wide committees regarding best practices in pretrial, bail, and bond decision making, including serving on the Pretrial Task Force for the Colorado Commission on Criminal and Juvenile Justice (CCJJ).
