Catherine J. Cheroutes

Cathy is a native Coloradan, born and raised in Denver.  After completing high school at Manual High School in Denver, she attended college at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and the University of Colorado School of Law in Boulder, Colorado, graduating in 1993.   Upon earning her J.D., Cathy worked both as a personal injury attorney and a consultant, until becoming a Deputy District Attorney in the 5th Judicial District in Colorado.  After leaving the DA’s office, Cathy began practicing domestic relations law, ultimately opening her own practice in 2006.  In addition to divorce, parenting time and other related matters, Cathy represented clients in criminal matters, was a GAL, CFI, mediator and performed other Court appointed roles. She took the bench in February 2019 and is currently sitting in both Lake and Clear Creek Counties.
