Judge Chelsea W. Ryan was appointed to the Jackson County Court bench by Governor Jared Polis on July 16, 2019.
Before she was appointed to the bench, Judge Ryan was an associate attorney with Miller and Associates Law Offices in Denver, Colorado, specializing in administrative and appellate law. Prior to her time in private practice, Judge Ryan served as a Deputy Public Defender in the First Judicial District. Judge Ryan also served as a law clerk for the Honorable Judge Stoker in Twin Falls, Idaho, after law school.
Judge Ryan received her bachelor's degree from Marquette University in 2008, and her Juris Doctorate from Gonzaga University School of Law in 2011. She graduated from Gonzaga cum laude as a Thomas More Scholar. She has been admitted to the Idaho and Colorado Bars since 2011.
