Bio
Judge Burrill joined the 21st Bench in August 2024. Judge Burrill moved on from a position as Supervising Deputy State Public Defender in the Grand Junction Office of the State Public Defender, a position he had held since 2018. His practice had consisted of criminal defense. Previously, he was a Deputy State Public Defender in the Montrose Office and in the Grand Junction Office of the State Public Defender (2010-2018). Judge Burrill earned his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2006 and his J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2010.
