Stephen J. Jouard

Judge Stephen Jouard was appointed to the 8th Judicial District bench by Governor Hickenlooper on September 13, 2016.  Judge Jouard was in private practice in Fort Collins from 1985 through the time of his appointment to the bench.  He started as an attorney with the firm of Fischer, Brown, Huddleson & Gunn, P.C. in 1985 and was with the firm for many years before starting his own practice focused in civil litigation and insurance matters.

Judge Jouard received a degree in Political Science from Colorado State University where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa in 1982.  He earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Wyoming in 1985.

Judge Jouard is married and has three children.
