Susan Blanco

Susan Blanco was appointed to the 8th Judicial District Court Bench by Governor Hickenlooper and was sworn in January 2017.  She served as a deputy District Attorney in the 8th Judicial Office and then went into private practice from 2007 to 2016.  In private practice she predominately worked on criminal cases, juvenile delinquency, dependency and neglect matters and municipal prosecution.  She also teaches at Colorado State University.   

Judge Blanco graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Colorado State University in 2000 and her Juris Doctorate from University of Colorado School of Law in 2003.  

Judge Blanco was appointed as Chief Judge of the 8th Judicial District, effective January 12, 2021.
