About Us
The 13th Judicial District Probation Department is dedicated to provide community safety through the rehabilitation and accountability of the offender. The Probation Department is committed to repairing harm to the victims.
This Probation Department provides services for 7 counties and has full time staff in Morgan, Logan, Yuma, Washington and Kit Carson Counties. In addition satellite offices are staffed part time in Phillips, Sedgwick Counties.
The Probation Department provides pre and post sentence assessment and evaluation, supervision, and monitoring of misdemeanor and felony offenders who are ordered by the Court to participate. Services include Pre-sentence Investigations and Reports, Specialized Supervision, Adult Regular Supervision, Juvenile Supervision, Alcohol & Drug Driving Safety, and Victim Assistance Coordination.

Donations for the Needy
Morgan County offenders are regularly ordered as part of their sentence to donate food and other items to the local Caring Ministries food bank and other local organizations in need, such as the Women's Safe House.

Victim Empathy Groups (Impact of Crime Classes)
This is an educational program designed to teach adult and juvenile offenders how crime impacts victims and the community. Trained staff members facilitate groups.
SB94 Restitution Program
SB94 Restitution Program
This is a program whereby juveniles (ages 10-16) earn their restitution through work crews on community projects. A community service employee is designated to supervise these juvenile work crews.

Thinking for a Change
Thinking for a Change is a cognitive and restructuring program that has been endorsed by the National Institute of Corrections. The program endeavors to help clients learn thinking skills, social skills, and problem-solving skills.
