General Information
The Gunnison Combined (District and County) Courts are part of the Seventh Judicial District and are located in Gunnison, Colorado. Gunnison is the home of Western State College and offers many recreational opportunities in the surrounding mountains. Crested Butte and the Crested Butte ski a rea are approximately 40 miles north of Gunnison. The address of the Gunnison County Courthouse is 200 East Virginia Ave. The court clerk's office and courtrooms are located on the second floor along with the probation office and the community service office. The court employs a District Judge, a part-time County Judge, a court reporter, the Clerk of Court, four Court Judicial Assistants, a probation officer and an alternative service coordinator and secretary.
The court supplies forms free or for a minimal fee. There are different kinds of pamphlets that are available to assist court users and the general public on the different functions of the court. Forms may also be obtained from the Judicial Department website.
