General Statement Of Duties

Implements, evaluates, and reports on criteria and goals established for the Domestic Violence Court (DVC) program to ensure initial goals and ongoing enhancements of the program are achieved.

Distinguishing Factors

The Program Evaluator is distinguished from other classifications due to the evaluation, auditing and reporting on the performance of the Domestic Violence Court program.

Essential Functions Of the Position

Works in conjunction with the legal community, community partners and stakeholders to establish procedures, goals and objectives to promote victim safety and offender accountability for the DVC program.
Develop, implement and analyze qualitative and quantitative measures in collaboration with key stake holders to determine the utilization and efficacy of the DVC program.
Create data collection and evaluation plan for the DVC program based on the qualitative and quantitative measures established for the program.
Collects, audits and evaluates key data indicators on the DVC program to determine if goals and objectives for the program are met.
Establish criteria for and perform safety audits on DVC safety protocols.
Advises the DVC program on processes that enhance efficiencies and effectiveness of the program based on preliminary and ongoing data collection.
Attends meetings and trainings as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisor Responsibilities

No formal supervisory responsibility. Responsibility for one's own work product and work within a unit performing similar functions. Occasionally provides lead function, advice, and explains work instructions to other employees or volunteers.

Minimum Education

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree with major course work in research, data collection, and statistical analysis; plus, experience in program evaluation. Additional work experience in these or other related fields may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required formal education. Master’s Degree or advanced work in the field preferred.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.  The employee frequently is required to use hands and fingers and reach with hands and arms.  The employee is occasionally required to stand and reach with hands and arms.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Occasional bending, twisting, and kicking is required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.  This position is subject to varying and unpredictable situations; may handle emergency or crisis situations; is subject to many interruptions; may handle multiple calls and inquiries simultaneously.
