General Statement Of Duties

Summary of Job Classification:
Supervises and oversees the daily operations of a designated team/employees within the Clerk's Office or court division.

Employee normally perform assignments according to your own judgment, requesting Supervisory assistance only when necessary. Special projects are managed with little oversight and assignments may be reviewed upon completion. Performance reviewed periodically. Impact of actions are significant.

Essential Functions Of the Position

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform assigned essential functions listed below satisfactorily. Supervises the work of assigned staff, including assigning and prioritizing work, providing guidance and coaching, participating and hiring and termination, and conducting performance evaluations.

Provides input on policy development and updates processes to new rules and legislation.

Provides internal and external customer service and responds to requests and concerns. Serves as a point of contact and coordinates changes in court operations.

Prepares court documents and reports. Monitors, reviews, and provides efficient and effective case processing.

Performs administrative functions including case management data entry, reviewing case entries, providing advanced research on complex cases, processing warrants, and balancing accounts receivable.

Monitors and schedules juror summons and responds to juror correspondence and requests.

Identifies and completes projects that strengthen the Court's ability to effectively serve the community. Participates in committee work and management meetings.

Completes required trainings and attend meetings as requested.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisor Responsibilities

Work requires supervising and monitoring performance for a regular group of employees (1 or more full-time employees) including providing input on hiring/disciplinary actions and work objectives/ effectiveness, performance evaluations, and realigning work as needed. The work performed by majority of employees is semi complex.

Minimum Education

Education and Experience Equivalency:
High School diploma or G.E.D.

OR

Additional relevant work experience may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required formal education.

Work Related Experience: 
Three (3) years of experience in court, legal, or administrative services.

Licenses and Certifications: 
None. 

Physical Demands

Physical Effort Requirements:
Sedentary Work- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human bod. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally.
