General Statement Of Duties

Summary of Job Classification:
Supervises and oversees the daily operations of more than one team/unit within the Clerk's Office or court division. May serve on the district's management team and may act as Clerk of Court during absences.

Essential Functions Of the Position

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform assigned essential functions listed below satisfactorily. Supervises the work of assigned teams/units supervisory and court staff, including assigning and prioritizing work, providing guidance and coaching/mentoring, participating and hiring and termination, and conducting performance evaluations.

Liaises between staff and senior management. Attends and participate in statewide and district level committee meetings.

Contributes and/or manages development and revision of policies, processes, procedures, and resources.

Provides internal and external customer service and responds to requests and concerns. Serves as a point of contact and coordinates changes in court operations.

Performs administrative functions including case management data entry, reviewing case entries, providing advanced research on complex cases, processing warrants, and balancing accounts receivable.

Creates and distributes judicial reports. Tracks financial funding for grants and contracts.

Identifies and completes projects that strengthen the Court's ability to effectively serve the community.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisor Responsibilities

Work requires managing and monitoring work performance by directing multiple groups of employees across more than one business function within an organizational unit (i.e. trial court) including evaluating program/work objectives and effectiveness, establishing broad organizational goals and realigning work and staffing assignments for the functional area. The work performed by majority of employees is complex.

Minimum Education

Education and Experience Equivalency:
High School diploma or G.E.D.

OR

Additional work experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required formal education.

Work Related Experience: 
Five (5) years of experience in courtroom, legal, or administrative services. Two (2) years of supervisory experience

Licenses and Certifications: 
None. 

Physical Demands

Physical Effort Requirements:
Sedentary Work- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human bod. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally.
