Summary of Job Classification:
The Website Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of the Judicial Department’s websites, ensuring optimal performance and usability, while placing security first. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and a keen eye for detail. Designs, develops, enhances and maintains web pages in accordance with the overall goals, objectives, and parameters aligned with the Department’s goals. Works with senior team members to coordinate content, structure, and updates. Responds to user requests for modifications and participates in the functional design and technical architecture of website pages.

Manages and updates website content, including text, images and multimedia elements, using Drupal Platform as the Content Management System (CMS). Experience with other CMS, such as WordPress or Joomla is a plus.
Assists in the placement of web site content, ensuring consistency, accuracy, appropriateness and timeliness of content and graphic and other standards (e.g., WCAG accessibility compliance) in the Content Management System platforms. Be able to communicate and implement service-related links to other County departments and/or Federal, State and Local agencies and related links.
Monitors website performance and identifies areas for improvement, implementing solutions to optimize speed, reliability, and user experience.
Ensures website security by regularly updating software, plugins, and themes, as well as implementing security protocols and monitoring for vulnerabilities.
Troubleshoots technical issues related to website functionality, server configuration, and user access, working closely with IT support and external vendors as needed.
Performs regular backups of website data and implements disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime and data loss.
Monitors website analytics and generates reports to track key metrics such as traffic and engagement, providing insight and recommendations for improvement.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and IT, to support website-related projects and initiatives.
Stays informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to web development and business processes.
Attends meetings and trainings, and may train users, such as content developers, as required.

Education and Experience Equivalency:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate’s degree or 60 college hours in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
OR
Additional work experience in these or other related fields may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required formal education.
Work Related Experience:
Minimum of one year (2 years preferred) of working experience as a website administrator or similar role, with a strong understanding of web technologies, protocols, and standards.
Knowledge and experience in implementing REST APIs for integrations is a must.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web development languages and frameworks.
Experience with Drupal Platform and web hosting environments, as well as familiarity with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
Knowledge of website security best practices, including SSL/TLS8 encryption, firewalls, and malware detection/prevention.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Familiarity with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and experience in interpreting and analyzing website performance data.
