Warrant clearance and community resource event scheduled in Loveland

LOVELAND, Colo. – The courts and the offices of Public Defender and District Attorney for the Eighth Judicial District (Jackson and Larimer counties) have scheduled a warrant clearance and community resource fair on Saturday, April 6, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Loveland.

The event at the Larimer County Loveland Campus (200 Peridot Avenue) is designed to provide resources and clear eligible warrants to provide opportunities for people to resolve their legal matters and move on with their future.

No arrests will be made of those attending the event to resolve a warrant in an eligible case. Offenses that are eligible for warrant clearance include some misdemeanor, traffic, and petty drug charges; some class 5 and class 6 felonies; class 4 felony drug charges; Loveland Municipal Court charges; and charges for failure to register as a sex offender.

Ineligible offenses include any warrants from outside of Larimer County; domestic violence charges; any cases under the Victim Rights Act; careless driving causing death or injury; possession of a weapon by a previous offender; felony eluding; sex offenses except failure to register; and class 1, 2, 3, and 4 felonies except class 4 felony drug charges.

In addition to clearing warrants, attendees can connect with community resources for health, employment, and other assistance. Organizations in attendance will include SummitStone Health Partners, Homeward Alliance, the Larimer County Department of Health and Environment, the Larimer County Alternative Sentencing Department, the Department of Human Services, the Veterans Service Office, Disabled Resource Services, and others.
